We are looking for a Tax Accounting Specialist to join our company.

What you will be doing

• Collaborate with external advisors in LATAM countries where our company operates
• Review direct and indirect tax returns for monthly and annual filings.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations by coordinating with local teams and external firms.
• Prepare for and assist with external tax audits.
• Manage relationships and interactions with local tax authorities, including handling challenges, disputes, and tax litigation.
• Assist with the reconciliation of tax accounts.
• Contribute to monthly tax position reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Build a thorough understanding of local financial statements and their reconciliation with local tax returns.
• Recommend strategies to optimize tax efficiency, considering both P&L and cash outflows.
• Stay updated on changes in local, state, and international tax regulations within the region.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Flexible, goal-oriented, and attentive to detail.
• Strong communication skills; proactive, analytical, and dynamic.
• Intermediate or advanced proficiency in English.
• Solid accounting and financial skills.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Prior experience in a similar role.
• Experience in fintech or payment industry companies (preferred).
